T-Vice Addresses Spotify Fake Streaming Controversy

Popular Haitian konpa band T-Vice has officially spoken out regarding recent allegations and controversy involving their Spotify account and their latest release, “Che Dèv.”

In recent days, speculation circulated online after Spotify temporarily removed the single from the platform. Some critics suggested the removal was linked to artificial streaming or “fake streams.” In response, T-Vice issued a detailed statement, denying all allegations and setting the record straight.
Why the Song Was Temporarily Removed
According to the group, they hired a professional company called Klebdistro to assist with playlist pitching — a common and legal practice in the global music industry that helps artists gain exposure by promoting their songs to curators.
However, shortly after the release of “Che Dèv,” malicious actors began targeting the band with false complaints to Spotify. Some even attempted to compromise the group’s artist page. Due to these reports, Spotify temporarily removed the track while it investigated.

Spotify Reinstates “Che Dèv”
After T-Vice and their legal representatives contacted Spotify directly and provided the necessary documentation, the platform determined that no wrongdoing had occurred. Spotify reinstated “Che Dèv” with a new UPC, and the track is once again available for streaming worldwide.
This development confirms that the controversy was not caused by fake streams, but rather by repeated false reports submitted with the intention of damaging the band’s reputation.
T-Vice Denies Any Involvement in Fake Streams
T-Vice strongly emphasized that they have never engaged in any form of artificial streaming or illegal tactics to manipulate numbers. They highlighted their longstanding career and credibility in the Haitian music industry as proof of their professionalism and commitment to authentic artistry.
Their legal team is now pursuing further action to identify and hold accountable the individuals responsible for the malicious complaints.
Message to Fans and Supporters
Despite the challenges, T-Vice expressed gratitude to their global fan base for the unwavering support:
“We thank all our fans, supporters, and partners for their continued trust and understanding.”
The band reassured their followers that they remain focused on producing quality music and elevating Haitian konpa on the international stage.
